An updated review of the new hadron states

Hua-Xing Chen et al.

Summary: The past decades have seen significant advancements in hadron physics, particularly in the observation of excited open heavy flavor mesons and baryons since 2017. This review provides updated information on the recent experimental and theoretical developments in this field, including the observation of unconventional heavy hadrons, tetraquark states, and hidden heavy flavor multiquark states. Additionally, the review covers progress in understanding glueballs and light hybrid mesons, which are manifestations of the non-Abelian SU(3) gauge interaction in Quantum Chromodynamics at low energies.

Chiral perturbation theory for heavy hadrons and chiral effective field theory for heavy hadronic molecules

Lu Meng et al.

Summary: Chiral symmetry and its spontaneous breaking are essential in both light and heavy hadron systems. Chiral perturbation theory (LPT) is an effective field theory of Quantum Chromodynamics. This paper reviews the research on chiral corrections to the properties of heavy mesons and baryons using LPT, as well as the scattering of light pseudoscalar mesons and heavy hadrons, which helps in understanding new resonances. Furthermore, this paper also discusses the progress on heavy hadronic molecular states within the framework of left, emphasizing the common chiral dynamics governing nuclei and the formation of deuteron and also the shallow bound states or resonances composed of two heavy hadrons.

Toward discovering the excited O baryons through nonleptonic weak decays of Oc

Kai-Lei Wang et al.

Summary: The nonleptonic weak decay processes c ? n-+=(1P)n-+=(1D)n-+=(2S)n-+ were studied using the constituent quark model. The branching fraction of c ? n-+ was predicted to be 1.05%. The recently observed resonance as a conventional 1P-wave SZ excited state with spin parity JP = 3=2- helps to explain the newly measured ratio B[c ? (2012)n-+ ? (-K)-n-+]=B[c ? n-+] at Belle. Additionally, the production rates for missing excited SZ baryons of different wave states were investigated with potential discoveries expected in forthcoming experiments.

Doubly heavy tetraquarks in an extended chromomagnetic model

Xin-Zhen Weng et al.

Summary: Using an extended chromomagnetic model, the masses of doubly heavy tetraquarks are systematically studied, revealing the dominance of color-triplet configurations in the ground states. It is found that the importance of color-triplet configurations increases with the mass difference between quarks and antiquarks. Three stable states below the pseudoscalar meson thresholds are identified.

Nature of X(6900) and its production mechanism at LHCb

Summary: We find that Pomeron exchanges play a crucial role in vector charmonium scatterings and can provide an explanation for the unique structures observed by the LHCb Collaboration. The presence of a narrow structure X(6900), formed by the exchange of Pomerons and coupled-channel effects, is predicted near the di-J/psi threshold. Furthermore, we predict that X(6900) will result in significant threshold enhancement in the J/psi-psi(2S) energy spectrum, which can be detected at LHCb.

Strong decays of multistrangeness baryon resonances in the quark model

Ahmad Jafar Arifi et al.

Summary: The decay properties of multistrangeness Xi and Omega baryon resonances are studied within the constituent quark model with relativistic corrections. The strong decay widths of various Xi and Omega resonances are computed to determine their spin-parity quantum numbers and internal structures. It is found that the Roper-like resonances in the multistrangeness sector have large decay widths similar to their counterparts in the light and heavy baryon sectors. The decay ratio of the Omega(2012) is calculated and found to be consistent with experimental data, supporting its interpretation as a three-quark state in the quark model. The decays of other low-lying Xi and Omega resonances are analyzed systematically to provide insights into their structures.

Strong decays of the Pcs(4459) as a Ξc(D)over-bar* molecule

Feng Yang et al.

Summary: This work studies the strong decay process of the newly observed P-cs(4459), suggesting it as a pure Xi(c)(D) over bar* molecular state. By evaluating partial decay widths, it supports the S-wave (D) over bar*Xi(c) molecular state for P-cs(4459, with a J(P) = 1/2(-) assignment, and suggests that the P-cs(4459) in the J(P) = 3/2(-) case might be explained as a coupled bound state with a larger Xi(c)(D) over bar* component. The experimental measurements of this strong decay could be essential for verifying the molecule interpretation of P-cs(4459).

Investigating Ω(2012) as a molecular state

Xuejie Liu et al.

Summary: Dynamical calculations of pentaquark systems with sssurt quark contents were conducted in ChQM and QDCSM. The results indicate that Xi*(K) over bar may not be suitable for interpretation as a molecular state, but two resonance states were found to potentially exist.

Masses of doubly heavy tetraquarks with error bars

Eric Braaten et al.

Summary: In the heavy-quark limit, two heavy quarks in a doubly heavy baryon or tetraquark are bound into a compact diquark by their color-Coulomb potential. The doubly heavy hadrons are related to heavy hadrons obtained by replacing the heavy diquark with a heavy antiquark, based on the heavy-quark-diquark symmetry of QCD. Effective field theories can be used to approximate the masses of singly heavy and doubly heavy hadrons by expanding them in inverse powers of heavy-quark masses. The masses of ground-state doubly heavy tetraquarks, predicted to be stable against strong decays, can be determined based on experimental measurements of heavy mesons and baryons, as well as lattice QCD calculations for doubly heavy baryons.

Towards the understanding of fully-heavy tetraquark states from various models

Chengrong Deng et al.

Summary: The study reveals that the color-magnetic interaction model cannot fully absorb QCD dynamical effects, and the Coulomb interaction plays a critical role in dynamical model calculations for heavy quarks. Different color configurations dominate in the ground and excited states of the states investigated.
