Investigation on the cavitation bubble collapse and the movement characteristics near spherical particles based on Weiss theorem

Xiaoxiao Zheng et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the dynamics of cavitation bubbles near two spherical particles of the same size, both theoretically and experimentally. The flow characteristics and Kelvin impulse are obtained and supported by experimental data based on the Weiss theorem. The collapse morphology and movement characteristics of the bubble are revealed in detail based on the initial bubble position, bubble size, and distance between the two particles. The main findings include the effective prediction of the movement characteristics of the cavitation bubble near two particles using the Kelvin impulse theoretical model, the variation of the movement distance of the bubble centroid with the initial bubble position, and the biased movement direction of the bubble centroid towards the closer particle rather than its center when the initial position of the bubble centroid is at an asymmetric position near the two particles.

Impact of magnetic-field on the dynamic of gas bubbles in N-dimensions of non-Newtonian hybrid nanofluid: analytical study

Ahmed K. Abu-Nab et al.

Summary: The aim of this study is to investigate the behavior of gas bubble growth under the influence of a magnetic field in N-dimensions of non-Newtonian hybrid nanomaterials. The research found that the magnetic field B and electrical conductivity o E have a significant impact on the dynamics of gas bubbles, contributing to a decrease in the growth processes. Additionally, the study examined the effects of nanoparticle size and type, nanoparticle volume fraction, N-dimensions, thermal diffusivity, and thermal conductivity on the behavior of the gas bubble radius.

Theoretical investigation and experimental support for the cavitation bubble dynamics near a spherical particle based on Weiss theorem and Kelvin impulse

Xiaoyu Wang et al.

Summary: In this paper, the dynamics of laser-induced cavitation bubble near a fixed spherical particle is comprehensively investigated using theoretical analysis and experimental results. The applicability range of the theoretical model is statistically obtained based on experimental results, and the liquid flow field and bubble Kelvin impulse are analyzed in depth. The theoretical prediction model of bubble movement is established and fitted experimentally. The study finds that the Kelvin impulse theory is applicable for bubbles near spherical particles when the dimensionless distance between the bubble and particle is greater than 0.50. The presence of the particle affects the liquid velocity in the form of an image bubble, causing decreased velocity in that region. The average movement velocity of the bubble centroid can be reasonably predicted using the Kelvin impulse.

Theoretical investigation of a single vapor bubble during Al2O3/H2O nanofluids in power-law fluid affected by a variable surface tension

A. K. Abu-Nab et al.

Summary: This article analyzes the growth of vapor bubble in power-law nanofluids under the effect of variable surface tension, examining the impact of parameters such as initial superheating liquid and thermal diffusivity. It is found that the vapor bubble size increases with the increase of initial superheating liquid, critical bubble radius, and thermal diffusivity. The relationship between surface tension behavior, initial bubble radius, shear stress, and shear rate is also studied.

Bubbles interactions in fluidized granular medium for the van der Waals hydrodynamic regime

Adel M. Morad et al.

Summary: This paper investigates fluidized granular materials with the van der Waals normal form under the effects of friction and viscosity. Analytical solutions for the nonlinear PDEs governing the granular model are explored using hydrodynamic equations, with a focus on phase separation phenomenon. The stability analysis and qualitative agreements with previous works are demonstrated through two- and three-dimensional graphics.

Thermophysical bubble dynamics in N-dimensional Al2O3/H2O nanofluid between two-phase turbulent flow

Adel M. Morad et al.

Summary: The study aims to investigate the growth behavior of bubbles in N-dimensional turbulent Al2O3/H2O-nanofluid and its applications in polymers and climate change models under the influence of various factors including thermal diffusivity, surface tension, viscosity, and nanoparticle concentration. The results show that the radius of the bubble is related to these factors and the growth of vapor bubble in a nanofluid turbulent flow is less than that in a Newtonian fluid. The efficient utilization of N-dimensional turbulent Al2O3 nanoparticles leads to more reduction in the bubble growth process compared to previous models.
