Research on the Dynamic Coupling and Coordination of Science and Technology Innovation and Sustainable Development in Anhui Province

Liyan Sun et al.

Summary: The coupling and coordination between science and technology innovation and sustainable development are basic requirements for the high-quality development of Anhui Province's economy. Through the use of panel data from 2010 to 2021, the entropy method was employed to quantify the comprehensive development level of the two systems in 16 prefecture-level cities in Anhui Province. Various models were constructed to analyze the spatiotemporal dynamic evolution features and predict the coupling coordination degree of the two systems. The results show a steady increase in comprehensive development, a high level of coupling, and a spatial differentiation characteristic of central > east > west for coupling and coordination levels. The prediction indicates that the optimal coupling coordination state will be achieved around 2030.

The Coupling Coordination Degree of Economic, Social and Ecological Resilience of Urban Agglomerations in China

Xin Xu et al.

Summary: This paper examines the relationship between economic resilience, social resilience and ecological resilience in China's urban agglomerations in 2019. It also evaluates the coupling coordination between these three types of resilience. The findings show that the mean ecological resilience was the highest, followed by economic and social resilience. Urban agglomerations with higher resilience scores were found to have better economic performance. The coupling coordination ranged from near-incoordination to narrow balance, with economic resilience having the most significant impact.

The Impact of Green Credit on the Green Innovation Level of Heavy-Polluting Enterprises-Evidence from China

Zhifeng Zhang et al.

Summary: This study examines the impact of the implementation of the Green Credit Guidelines on the green innovation activities of heavy-polluting enterprises. The findings show that the implementation of green credit policies inhibits the green innovation of heavy-polluting enterprises compared to non-heavy polluting enterprises. The restraint effect is not significantly influenced by property rights or company size.

Coupling and coordination of China's economy, ecological environment and health from a green production perspective

C. Hou et al.

Summary: From 2009 to 2016, the coupling degree and coordination degree among the economy, the ecological environment, and the health system of China's green production showed an increasing trend, with a M-shaped change in coordination degree. However, after 2012, the scores of the three systems exhibited a downward trend in terms of coupling coordination. In terms of spatial clues, the eastern region of China has a better coupling coordination relationship in green production systems compared to the central and western regions.

Spatial-Temporal Characteristics and Driving Factors of the Coupling Coordination between Population Health and Economic Development in China

Hui Tang et al.

Summary: This study comprehensively evaluates the population health level and economic development level at the provincial scale in China using multiple models and methods, and reveals the spatial and temporal evolution characteristics and driving factors of the coupled coordination relationship between them. The results show that China's population health and economic development are in a high-level coupling stage and a good coordination stage, with spatial differentiation and changes.

Does green credit affect the green innovation performance of high-polluting and energy-intensive enterprises? Evidence from a quasi-natural experiment

Sheng Liu et al.

Summary: The study finds that the implementation of green credit policy significantly improves the green innovation performance of high-polluting and high-energy consuming enterprises, especially those that are state-owned and have weak market power. Additionally, the green credit policy has a positive impact on the increase of non-invention patents.
