Investigation of an engine order noise cancellation system in a super sports car

Cesare Lupo Ferrari et al.

Summary: This paper explores the challenging application of active noise control to a two-seat super sports car and presents the implementation of a multi-channel, multi-order control system. The results show that the system can effectively reduce sound pressure level and overall loudness under various vehicle maneuvers.

Effectiveness of selected issues related to used tyre management in Poland

Grzegorz Przydatek et al.

Summary: This paper discusses the interactions between the generation, collection, and recovery of used tyres in Poland, while considering the mass accumulation per area as an indicator. The study assesses the efficiency of used tyre management based on European Union and national regulations from 2008 to 2018. The findings reveal that over 5 million Mg of used tyres were introduced into the domestic market within 11 years, exceeding the required amount for registered vehicles. The recovery rate of all tyres was 47%, primarily correlated with the total volume. The growth trend for generated tyres was significant, and the accumulation of used tyres per area exhibited uneven distribution.

Vehicle Engine Noise Cancellation Based on a Multi-Channel Fractional-Order Active Noise Control Algorithm

Tao Li et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a novel multi-channel fractional-order active noise control algorithm and tests its ability to suppress low-frequency noise in the vehicle space. The algorithm utilizes fractional-order calculus to update the weighting coefficients of the filter, resulting in improved control accuracy and noise cancellation performance.

Improvement of noise reduction performance in bellows using multilayer perforated panels

Hee-Min Noh

Summary: This study aims to reduce noise in the low-frequency region of a railway vehicle gangway by optimizing the design of a multi-layered resonance type panel. The research found that using a perforated multilayer structure with a hole diameter of 1 mm can effectively increase transmission loss in the low-frequency region. Through theoretical review and testing, it was confirmed that noise performance in the low frequency range of 100 Hz was improved by 9.2 dB.
