Triboelectric nanogenerator based on flexible Janus nanofiber membrane with simultaneous high charge generation and charge capturing abilities

Yunrui Xie et al.

Summary: In this study, a new type of triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG-JNM) based on a flexible two-dimensional Janus nanofiber membrane (JNM) and PMMA nanobelt array was assembled. By pre-assembling different functional substances into the Janus nanofiber, charge generation and capture capabilities were achieved at the microscopic level, allowing the two-dimensional JNM to serve as both the charge generation and capture layer of the TENG-JNM. The TENG-JNM demonstrated high and adjustable output performance, and enabled visualization of its working state in a dark environment.
