Polarization-Tunable Microstrip Antenna Based on Double V-Type Metamaterials Cover for Microwave Energy Harvesting

Weihua Hui et al.

Summary: A novel rectenna based on double V-type metamaterials cover is proposed in this study. By tuning the rotation angle of the cover, the antenna achieves linear-to-circular polarization conversion at 5.8 GHz, making it suitable for complex microwave energy harvesting. The novel antenna with metamaterials cover presents a new option for developing multifunctional and multipolarized rectennas.

High-Efficiency 2-D Multibeam Rectenna Based on Gain Enhanced Patch Array

Xiaokang Qi et al.

Summary: Wireless power transfer (WPT) is a promising technique for various applications, but high-gain rectenna systems are needed for low power density situations. However, high-gain rectennas usually have narrow beam widths and high directivity, which is contradictory to the wide spatial coverage required for power harvesting systems. To address this issue, a 2-D multibeam rectenna based on gain enhanced patches and hybrid coupler is proposed to achieve high aperture efficiency and wide spatial coverage simultaneously.
