Exact strong coupling results in N=2 Sp(2N) superconformal gauge theory from localization

M. Beccaria et al.

Summary: In this study, we apply the localization technique to compute the free energy and the circular BPS Wilson loop in a four-dimensional N= superconformal Sp(2N) gauge theory. We find that to any order in large N expansion and an arbitrary 't Hooft coupling lambda, the free energy and the Wilson loop satisfy Toda lattice equations.

Correlators on the wall and sln spin chain

Mykola Dedushenko et al.

Summary: This study investigates the algebras and correlation functions of local operators at half-BPS interfaces in 4D N=4 super Yang-Mills engineered by D5 or NS5 branes. It is found that the correlation functions can be expressed in terms of matrix elements of transfer matrices or products of Baxter's Q-operators in the inhomogeneous spin chain model, establishing a new connection between N=4 super Yang-Mills and integrable spin chains.

Strong coupling expansion in N=2 superconformal theories and the Bessel kernel

M. Beccaria et al.

Summary: The paper investigates the strong 't Hooft coupling expansion in special four-dimensional N = 2 superconformal models that are planar-equivalent to N = 4 super Yang-Mills theory. By utilizing a Fredholm determinant of a Bessel operator and a generalized Szego-Akhiezer-Kac formula, the expansion of leading corrections to various observables is derived and it is shown that the resulting strong-coupling expansions suffer from Borel singularities.

On the structure of non-planar strong coupling corrections to correlators of BPS Wilson loops and chiral primary operators

M. Beccaria et al.

Summary: The research investigates the localization representations of 1/2 BPS circular Wilson loop W in N = 4 SYM theory and calculates their 1/N expansions in the limit of large 't Hooft coupling lambda. It discovers properties related to string coupling and string tension, as well as the expansion forms of Wilson loops and correlators with chiral primary operators. Similar phenomena are found in the ABJM theory as well.

Overlaps and fermionic dualities for integrable super spin chains

Charlotte Kristjansen et al.

Summary: This paper discusses the integrable boundary states of the PSU(2,2|4) super spin chain underlying the AdS/CFT correspondence, as well as the overlaps between Bethe eigenstates and these boundary states encoding one-point functions of conformal operators. It also explores the relationships between different Dynkin diagrams of super Lie algebras and how overlap formulae transform between them.

Boundary state bootstrap and asymptotic overlaps in AdS/dCFT

Tamas Gombor et al.

Summary: The researchers investigated boundary state bootstrapping for factorizing K-matrices in AdS/CFT and found that there are no boundary degrees of freedom in the boundary bound states, only shifted boundary parameters. They used this family of boundary bound states to describe the D3-D5 system for higher dimensional matrix product states and provided asymptotic overlap formulas, thus generalizing nesting for overlaps of matrix product states and Bethe states.

1/N expansion of circular Wilson loop in N=2 superconformal SU(N) x SU(N) quiver

M. Beccaria et al.

Summary: The article discusses the localization approach to N = 2 superconformal SU(N) x SU(N) quiver theory and the non-Gaussian two-matrix model representation of the BPS circular SU(N) Wilson loop W. The study focuses on the subleading 1/N-2 term in the large N expansion of W at weak and strong coupling, particularly in the case of symmetric quiver with equal gauge couplings. A string theory argument suggests that the 1/N-2 term in this orbifold theory should have similar strong coupling asymptotics as in the N = 4 SYM case, which is supported by numerical studies of the localization matrix model. Additionally, a relation between the 1/N-2 term in the Wilson loop expectation value and the derivative of the free energy of the orbifold gauge theory on a 4-sphere is found.

On topological recursion for Wilson loops in N=4 SYM at strong coupling

M. Beccaria et al.

Summary: This paper discusses how to extract the strong coupling limit of non-planar corrections using the Eynard-Orantin topological recursion and saddle point treatment. Working directly at strong coupling simplifies the form of matrix model multi-point resolvents and allows for identification and rigorous proof of genus expansion structures. Additionally, novel results regarding the structure of multiple coincident circular supersymmetric Wilson loops and their correlator with single trace chiral operators are provided.

BPS Wilson loop in N=2 superconformal SU(N) orientifold gauge theory and weak-strong coupling interpolation

M. Beccaria et al.

Summary: In this study, the expectation value of the circular BPS Wilson loop in N = 2 superconformal SU(N) gauge theory is investigated, with connections to AdS/CFT duality established through string theory path integrals and localization matrix model representations, confirming the lambda(3/2) scaling prediction. The research provides insights into the universal scaling behavior of non-planar corrections in large 't Hooft coupling regimes in the context of superstring theory dualities.

Strong coupling expansion of free energy and BPS Wilson loop in N=2 superconformal models with fundamental hypermultiplets

M. Beccaria et al.

Summary: The study continues with the strong-coupling expansion of non-planar corrections in N = 2 4d superconformal models, focusing on theories with gauge groups SU(N) and Sp(2N). Exact differential relations between 1/N terms in the free energy and 1/2-BPS Wilson loop expectation value are found using the localization matrix model representation, with discussions on their large 't Hooft coupling expansions and dual string theory interpretation. Resummed expressions for leading strong coupling terms in the 1/N expansion are derived in the Sp(2N) case, along with the identification of exponentially suppressed contributions to non-planar corrections and comments on their resurgence properties.

Exact results in a N=2 superconformal gauge theory at strong coupling

M. Beccaria et al.

Summary: The paper investigates the N=2 SYM theory with gauge group SU(N), utilizing Pestun's matrix model for analysis. It successfully expresses a large class of observables and generates high-order perturbative expansions, while also studying the leading behavior at strong coupling. The comparison with direct Monte Carlo numerical evaluation and Pade resummations from long perturbative series shows high stability beyond the convergence disk |lambda| < (2).

String integrability of defect CFT and dynamical reflection matrices

Georgios Linardopoulos et al.

Summary: In this study, the holographic duality between the D3-D5 probe-brane system and the integrable defect CFT is explored, revealing the emergence of integrability on the string theory side through the study of correlation functions at weak coupling. By constructing the double row transfer matrix, it is found that the corresponding reflection matrix is dynamic and dependent on the spectral parameter and string embedding coordinates.

Algebras, traces, and boundary correlators in N=4 SYM

Mykola Dedushenko et al.

Summary: We study the supersymmetric sectors at half-BPS boundaries and interfaces in 4d N = 4 super Yang-Mills theory with gauge group G, described by associative algebras with twisted traces, corresponding to an infinite set of defect correlation functions. The algebras and traces for known boundary conditions are identified, with Ward identities highly constraining the structure of the trace. Our main examples include the universal enveloping algebra U(g) with Dirichlet boundary conditions, and the finite W-algebra W(g, t(+)) with Nahm pole boundary conditions.
