Colossal dielectric permittivity and high energy storage efficiency in barium strontium titanate ceramics co-doped with bismuth and lithium

Summary: The development of lead-free perovskite materials for energy storage is crucial for addressing environmental concerns. Lead-free (Ba0.60Sr0.40)((1-x))(Bi,Li)(x)TiO3 ceramics, (BST6:BLx%); (0% x 8%), were successfully synthesized and studied for their structural evolution, dielectric properties, and energy storage efficiency. Co-doping induced a colossal permittivity, low loss, high energy storage density, and efficiency over 90%. XPS analysis of surface defects and chemical state, along with impedance studies, provided insight into the mechanism of massive permittivity. BST6:BLx% ceramics show promise as high energy storage efficiency materials.

Summary: A sol-gel auto combustion method was used to synthesize Ba0.5Sr0.5ZnxZrxFe12-2xO19 (x = 0.00-1.00) samples, with XRD data showing pure phase formation and an increase in lattice parameters with composition. Magnetic measurements indicated a decrease in coercivity with the increasing concentration of non-magnetic dopants, while the saturation magnetization peaked at x = 0.4 sample.
