Who Are the Phishers? Phishing Scam Detection on Ethereum via Network Embedding

Jiajing Wu et al.

Summary: This article proposes an approach to detect phishing scams on Ethereum by mining its transaction records. By constructing the transaction network and using a novel network embedding algorithm, the features of addresses are successfully extracted and classified using a support vector machine. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of this method on Ethereum and the superiority of the feature extraction algorithm.

Metaphor and board writing matter: The mediating roles of psychological distance and immersion in video lectures

Shang Shanshan et al.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of metaphor and board writing on students' learning performance, continuance intention, and recommendation intention, and examined the mediating roles of psychological distance and immersion. The results showed that metaphor significantly influenced all four aspects of psychological distance and immersion, while board writing only had an impact on hypothetical distance. Social distance mediated the relationship between metaphor and learning performance, recommendation intention, and continuance intention; hypothetical distance mediated the interplay between metaphor, board writing, and learning performance; and immersion mediated the link between metaphor and recommendation intention.

A novel framework of collaborative early warning for COVID-19 based on blockchain and smart contracts

Liwei Ouyang et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a novel framework of collaborative early warning for COVID-19 based on blockchain and smart contracts, aiming to crowdsource early warning tasks to distributed channels. The framework supports two surveillance modes, medical federation surveillance and social collaboration surveillance, and fuses their monitoring results to alert. By using this framework, medical institutions can obtain better federated surveillance models with privacy protection, and social participants can share surveillance resources and solutions even without mutual trust.
