Summary: This study explores the potential for oral immunization of recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae expressing Fiber-2 of fowl adenovirus serotype 4 as a subunit vaccine. The results show that oral administration of the recombinant yeast can stimulate immune response, enhance antiviral activity, improve gut microbiota, and provide protection against FAdV-4 infection. Combining the yeast with an inactivated vaccine has a synergistic effect on immune response.

Development of a Potential Yeast-Based Vaccine Platform for Theileria parva Infection in Cattle
