Assessment of the OptimumLinker Tethering Site of Alternariol Haptens for AntibodyGeneration and Immunoassay Development (vol 13, 883, 2021)

Summary: Immunochemical methods for mycotoxin analysis require well-defined antigens and antibodies with outstanding binding properties. This study successfully synthesized antigens and prepared immunoagents with unequivocal structures, leading to the development of novel highly sensitive immunoassays selective of Alternaria mycotoxins. Through extensive evaluation, antibodies with high affinity were raised from generated immunoagents, establishing a structure-activity relationship between synthetic haptens and the specificity of the antibodies.
