PROBLEMS OF COGNITIVE STRATEGIES AND EMOTIONAL REGULATION OF TEACHERS IN MODERN EDUCATION

Rashid Jabbarov et al.

Summary: This article examines the manifestations of cognitive strategies and emotional regulation among teachers. The study involves 64 teachers with different academic backgrounds and teaching at different faculties. The findings suggest that age plays a role in shaping cognitive strategies and emotional self-regulation of teachers. Cognitive strategies and expressive suppression of emotions are associated with different qualities of teachers. Adequate self-regulation of emotion is more significantly related to cognitive strategy than expressive suppression. The study also reveals correlations between cognitive reappraisal and personality traits, as well as emotional intelligence and resilience among teachers.

Vulnerability Analysis of Geographical Railway Network under Geological Hazard in China

Lingzhi Yin et al.

Summary: This study evaluates the vulnerability of the geographical railway network by simulating the network and analyzing data on typical geological hazards. The research finds that earthquakes have the greatest impact on railway safety, followed by landslides, debris flows, and collapses. Approximately 30% of the lines in the geographical railway network are exposed to areas susceptible to geological hazards, including railway lines in Southwest, Northwest, and Northeast China.

Vulnerability mapping and risk analysis of sand and dust storms in Ahvaz, IRAN

Ali Darvishi Boloorani et al.

Summary: A sand and dust storm vulnerability mapping (SDS-VM) approach was developed using GIS spatial analysis and geographical data to model the vulnerability of urban blocks to SDS in Ahvaz, IRAN. Vulnerability is defined as a function of exposure, sensitivity, and adaptive capacity, which were formulated into measurable indicators and weighted using analytical hierarchy process (AHP). Urban SDS vulnerability maps at different risk levels were generated, and validated against field-collected data of patients hospitalized for dust-related diseases.
