Microstructures, Mechanical Properties and Electromagnetic Wave Absorption Performance of Porous SiC Ceramics by Direct Foaming Combined with Direct-Ink-Writing-Based 3D Printing

Summary: This study presents a novel method for preparing porous SiC ceramics using DIW process, and investigates their mechanical and wave absorption properties. The nozzle diameter has an important role in maintaining the structure of the SiC green part, while the sintering temperature affects the porosity and compressive strength of the porous SiC ceramics. Porous SiC ceramics sintered at 1650 degrees C exhibit high strength and excellent EM wave absorption properties.

Preparation and performance of poly (vinyl alcohol)/polylactic acid/hydroxyapatite composite scaffolds based on 3D printing

Summary: In this study, composite scaffolds with different pore structures were successfully fabricated using FDM technology and characterized using SEM and dynamic thermomechanical analyzer. The introduction of PLA and HA increased the modulus of the material, enhancing its FDM processing. Biocompatibility and mineralization ability of the scaffolds were investigated, showing good bone formation and mineralization ability with reduced concentrations of Ca2+ and PO4(3-) in simulated body fluid over time. Biotoxicity test confirmed excellent biocompatibility of the scaffold.

The experimental results showed that BRE-IONPs exhibited excellent photothermal stability and high photothermal conversion efficiency, making them suitable for PAI-guided PTT treatment.

The study found that carbon fiber reinforced aluminum laminates (CARALL) has significantly higher interlaminar shear strength compared to glass-reinforced aluminum laminates (GLARE) and aramid-reinforced aluminum laminates (ARALL), attributed to the stiffness of carbon fiber and strong adhesion with aluminum metal.

Tensile strength evaluation of glass/jute fibers reinforced composites: An experimental and numerical approach
