Highly stretchable and flexible supercapacitors based on electrospun PEDOT:SSEBS electrodes

Summary: This study presents a highly stretchable and flexible supercapacitor based on electrospun PEDOT:SSEBS microfiber mats and freeze-thawed PVA-H2SO4 hydrogel with outstanding performance. The maximum areal capacitance of the electrodes can reach 1296 mF cm(-2), retaining 89.5% of the initial capacitance when stretched to 500%. The exceptional performance is attributed to the highly porous and interconnected voids in the electrospun fibers, as well as their stable mechanical properties during stretching and bending cycles.
