Prevalence and Risk Factors for Hypertension in Adolescents Aged 12 to 17 Years: A School-Based Study in China

Kai Liu et al.

Summary: This study conducted a population-based multicenter research to accurately determine the prevalence of hypertension in adolescents in China. Association between pubertal development and elevated blood pressure in children

Yanhui Li et al.

Summary: The study found that pubertal development is positively correlated with blood pressure levels in children, with those experiencing puberty onset and early pubertal timing having higher blood pressure readings and increased odds of elevated blood pressure. The impact of pubertal development on blood pressure is stronger in girls than boys, suggesting the importance of monitoring and managing puberty progression, particularly among girls.
