Summary: This article considers the problem of finite-time command-filtered control for switched nonlinear systems with input quantization and output constraints. The unmeasurable state is estimated by designing a switched state observer. Hysteresis quantization and barrier Lyapunov function approach are used to solve the chattering problem and restrict the output to an expected range. A first-order Levant differentiator is used to accurately filter the intermediate signals and ensure the finite-time stability of the filter. Stability of the closed-loop system is proved using multiple Lyapunov functions.

Summary: The use of stent-assisted coiling for intracranial aneurysms may lead to the deformation of local vasculature. This study investigates the hemodynamic features of blood flow in four different types of intracranial aneurysms with and without stent intervention. The results show that stenting decreases blood velocity, wall pressure, and wall shear stress, while it has inconsistent effects on neck inflow rate among the aneurysms.

Summary: There is a significant gap between academic research and practical application in power distribution system planning (PDSP). Existing PDSP models in academic research mainly focus on cost as the objective function and have constraints such as power flow equality, voltage limits, and capacity limits. However, these models are rarely used in real distribution system companies. This paper proposes a new feeder planning model for urban distribution networks, considering practical requirements such as load moment, block loads, street layout, network configuration, and the crossing requirement of feeders. The model is solved using mixed integer linear programming and is demonstrated on test and real distribution systems.

Summary: The importance of blood flow characteristics in the hemorrhage of cerebral aneurysms has been confirmed. This study investigates the effects of blood hemodynamics on the growth and rupture of the Internal Carotid Intracranial (ICA) and demonstrates the blood features inside the ICA at different time stages. The study also examines the impact of coiling on blood characteristics. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is used to analyze the effects of blood hemodynamics on wall shear stress and pressure distribution within the aneurysm. The findings suggest that reducing coiling porosity can decrease maximum WSS and OSI, especially in high blood viscosity.

Summary: This study used computational fluid dynamics to simulate the blood flow in cerebral aneurysms treated with coiling embolism. The results showed that the wall shear stress (WSS) was highest near the neck of the aneurysm, while the oscillatory shear index (OSI) was highest near the dome of the aneurysm. Coiling reduced the OSI but had limited impact on the WSS near the neck.

Summary: In this study, numerical simulations are performed to investigate droplet breakup in an asymmetric T-junction microchannel. The results show good agreement with previous studies, and the effects of capillary number, non-dimensional droplet length, and non-dimensional width ratio on the breakup time and splitting ratio are studied. It is also found that the mass center of the mother droplet is shifted to a wider branch, facilitating the asymmetric breakup in the T-junction microchannel.

Summary: This article introduces a confidence interval based distributionally robust real-time economic dispatch (CI-DRED) approach, which addresses the risk associated with accommodating wind power. By developing a novel ambiguity set based on imprecise probability theory and transforming the original nonlinear dispatch problem into a determined mixed integer linear programming problem, the proposed method effectively balances operational costs and risks. Numerical results on both the IEEE 118-bus system and a real 445-bus system demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of the approach.

Summary: Elevated homocysteine levels are associated with insulin resistance, which is induced by homocysteinylation of the pro-insulin receptor. Homocysteine reacts with and modifies cysteine-825 of pro-IR in the ER, disrupting the original disulfide bond. This modification impairs the interaction between pro-IR and Furin protease in the Golgi apparatus, hindering cleavage of pro-IR and leading to insulin resistance in mice. Inhibiting homocysteinylation could potentially be a new target for drugs to prevent insulin resistance and increase insulin sensitivity.

Summary: This paper studies adaptive optimal control based on sliding-mode surface (SMS) for a class of continuous-time switched nonlinear systems with average dwell time (ADT) using actor-critic reinforcement learning strategy. By developing a specific cost function related to SMS, the original control problem is transformed into finding a series of optimal control policies through AC neural networks. The proposed method is shown to ensure the boundedness of all signals in the considered closed-loop switched nonlinear systems through Lyapunov stability theory.
