MRI Feature-Based Nomogram Model for Discrimination Between Non-Hypervascular Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors and Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinomas

Jiake Xu et al.

Summary: This study investigated the use of MRI features to differentiate non-hypervascular pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PNETs) from pancreatic ductal adenocarcinomas (PDACs), identifying tumor margin, MPD dilation, and signal in the portal phase as independent discriminative MRI features between the two types of tumors. The developed MRI-based nomogram showed superior discriminative performance compared with single imaging features, validated by calibration curve, C-index, and DCA, suggesting its practicality and usefulness in preoperative differentiation of PNETs from PDACs.

What Should Guide the Performance of Venous Resection During Pancreaticoduodenectomy for Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma with Venous Contact?

Julie Navez et al.

Summary: Complete surgical resection with perioperative chemotherapy is the only chance for cure in pancreatic cancer, with R0 resection being a key factor for survival. Proximity of mesenteric vessels increases the risk of vein involvement, leading to the need for concomitant venous resection to reduce the risk of positive margins. Surgeons must balance the technical difficulty of venous resection with the hope for absence of perivascular tumor infiltration to achieve optimal surgical outcomes in pancreatic cancer cases.

Nomogram to predict survival of patients with advanced and metastatic pancreatic Cancer

G. C. Deng et al.

Summary: Two nomograms were developed to predict the survival probability of patients with advanced and metastatic PC. Both the baseline model and chemotherapy response-based model performed well in survival prediction.

Identification of DNA methylation-driven genes and construction of a nomogram to predict overall survival in pancreatic cancer

G. C. Deng et al.

Summary: In this study, six DNAm-driven genes related to the outcomes of pancreatic cancer patients were identified, and a nomogram including stage, chemotherapy, and risk score was established to predict survival in PC patients. The nomogram demonstrated good performance in predicting the 1-year, 2-year, and 3-year survival rates of PC patients.

Development and Validation of a Nomogram to Predict Survival in Pancreatic Head Ductal Adenocarcinoma After Pancreaticoduodenectomy

Feng Peng et al.

Summary: A nomogram was developed to estimate survival in patients with pancreatic head ductal adenocarcinoma (PHDAC) after pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD). The nomogram showed better predictive performance and clinical utility compared to traditional staging systems in both internal and external validation cohorts. This may improve prognosis-based patient selection for PD.
