Summary: SPX and its receptors, GalR2 and GalR3, have significant effects on the metabolism, proliferation, and differentiation of skeletal muscle cells. Through modulation of protein expression and cell signaling pathways, SPX promotes the proliferation and differentiation of C2C12 cells, as well as myoblast fusion into myotubules. Additionally, exercise stimulates the expression of SPX and GalR2, leading to an increase in SPX concentration in the blood serum.
