A review on the development of elemental and codoped TiO2 photocatalysts for enhanced dye degradation under UV-vis irradiation

Research has focused on increasing TiO2's efficiency through doping and morphological modifications to enhance dye degradation under UV-Vis irradiation.

Photocatalytic Degradation of Methylene Blue and Ortho-Toluidine Blue: Activity of Lanthanum Composites LaxMOy (M: Fe, Co, Ni)

Summary: Lanthanum (La) nanocomposites LaFeO3, LaNiO3, and LaCoO3 with different La to-metal ratios were successfully synthesized using a sol-gel method. The photocatalytic activity of these composites under visible light was investigated, and it was found that composites with an orthorhombic crystal structure exhibited higher activity. Among the composites, LaCoO3 showed the highest degradation efficiency for both dyes.

Study of photocatalytic degradation efficiency of rGO/ZnO nano-photocatalyst and their performance analysis using scanning Kelvin probe

Summary: In this study, an efficient rGO/ZnO nano-photocatalyst was synthesized using an eco-friendly hydrothermal method. The catalyst showed enhanced degradation of organic dye under visible light exposure. The degradation mechanism was analyzed using the SKP technique. The results demonstrated that the rGO/ZnO catalyst with a larger surface area exhibited improved photocatalytic activity.

Glycine-nitrate combustion engineering of neodymium cobaltite nanocrystals

Summary: NdCoO3 nanocrystals prepared via glycine-nitrate combustion method and heat treatment rapidly form at 550-600 degrees C with sizes of 7-10 nm, showing good correlation between empirical and experimental data from X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. The unique nanoporous microstructure and spatial limitations prevent particle growth. The kinetic equation based on Avrami-Erofeev nucleation model correlates well with experimental data, and the apparent activation energy for formation is determined.

The amount of EuVO4 in the ternary nanocomposites significantly impacts their performance, with the 15% EuVO4 Fe2O3/EuVO4/g-C3N4 nanocomposite demonstrating excellent hydrogen storage and photocatalytic capabilities.
