Wide-field mid-infrared single-photon upconversion imaging

Kun Huang et al.

Summary: This article presents a wide-field upconversion imaging technique based on an aperiodic quasi-phase-matching configuration. The acceptance angle is significantly expanded, resulting in a large field of view. The technique allows for high-speed imaging and single-photon sensitivity, making it suitable for various applications such as defect inspection and biomedical examination. The authors also demonstrate high-resolution time-of-flight 3D imaging. The proposed technique offers unprecedented mid-infrared imaging features.

Plug-and-Play Image Restoration With Deep Denoiser Prior

Kai Zhang et al.

Summary: Recent works have shown that using a denoiser as the image prior can improve the performance of plug-and-play image restoration methods. However, existing methods are limited by the lack of suitable denoiser priors. In this study, we propose a deep denoiser prior that significantly outperforms other state-of-the-art model-based and learning-based methods for various image restoration tasks.

High-resolution fast mid-wave infrared compressive imaging

Linxia Zhang et al.

Summary: The article discusses the challenges of manufacturing large detector arrays in the mid-wave infrared (MIR) band, as well as issues such as spatial compressive imaging, system errors, and slow imaging speed. The authors propose using imaging calibration methods, measurement collection strategies, and reconstruction algorithms accelerated by parallel computing to address these challenges, successfully building a prototype compressive imaging camera.

Mid-Infrared Single-Photon Edge Enhanced Imaging Based on Nonlinear Vortex Filtering

Yinqi Wang et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates ultra-sensitive mid-infrared (MIR) imaging at the single-photon level based on nonlinear frequency upconversion, improving imaging sensitivity significantly through coincident pulsed pumping with spectro-temporal optimization. Edge enhancement is achieved by imprinting the spiral phase pattern, allowing efficient conversion of MIR illumination into visible images.
