MAOA promotes prostate cancer cell perineural invasion through SEMA3C/PlexinA2/NRP1-cMET signaling

Lijuan Yin et al.

Summary: Perineural invasion (PNI) is an important indicator of cancer progression and poor prognosis, especially in prostate cancer. The study revealed that MAOA plays a crucial role in promoting PNI in PC, and inhibition of MAOA can reduce PNI and potentially serve as a targeted treatment strategy for PC in the future.

Interactions between semaphorins and plexin-neuropilin receptor complexes in the membranes of live cells

Shaun M. Christie et al.

Summary: The research identified the dimerization status of neuropilin-1 (Nrp1), plexin A2, plexin A4, and plexin D1, as well as their hetero- and homodimerization. It was found that Nrp1, plexin A2, and plexin A4 exist as dimers in the absence of exogenous ligand, while plexin D1 is monomeric. The study also revealed the formation of a heteromeric complex between plexin A2 and A4 upon stimulation with semaphorin 3C.
