Extracellular vesicles, from the pathogenesis to the therapy of neurodegenerative diseases

Xiaohuan Xia et al.

Summary: Extracellular vesicles (EVs) play a key role in the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases (NDs) by transmitting bioactive cargos within the central nervous system. EVs derived from CNS cells have been identified as potential biomarkers for diagnosing NDs and have promising potential as therapeutic targets, agents, and drug delivery systems for treating NDs.
