Marangoni convection flow of γ-Al2O3 nanofluids past a porous stretching surface with thermal radiation effect in the presence of an inclined magnetic field

Praveen Kumar Dadheech et al.

Summary: This study investigates the heat transfer effect of gamma-Al2O3 nanofluid flow with Marangoni convection over a porous stretching surface, considering an aligned magnetic field. Ethylene glycol and water-based nanofluids are compared graphically, showing that Ethylene glycol-based nanofluid has a more significant cooling effect. The temperature field increment is observed for increased values of certain parameters for both water-based and Ethylene glycol-based nanofluids.

Irreversibility analysis of hybrid nanofluid flow over a rotating disk: Effect of thermal radiation and magnetic field

Mahesh Kumar et al.

Summary: This study numerically examines the thermally radiative incompressible flow of hybrid nanofluid on a rotating disk under the influence of an external magnetic field, analyzing the transport of heat qualitatively and quantitatively. The results show that higher magnetic parameters and slip factors lead to decreased radial and tangential velocities, while increasing fractional volume decreases fluid velocity and increasing magnetic and radiation parameters lead to thicker thermal boundary layers and higher fluid temperatures. The research suggests that the developed modeling framework can effectively analyze fluid flow and heat transfer in turbomachinery and high-end heat transfer applications.

Recent advances on the fundamental physical phenomena behind stability, dynamic motion, thermophysical properties, heat transport, applications, and challenges of nanofluids

Zafar Said et al.

Summary: The rapid development of nanotechnology in the past decade has created numerous opportunities for researchers and engineers. Nanofluids, created by suspending nanoparticles in conventional heat transfer carriers, offer significant advantages in thermal properties. This study addresses the challenge of nanofluid stability and analyzes various forces and physical phenomena affecting the stability. Stable and highly conductive nanofluids can be produced through one-step or two-step production methods, but both methods face the problem of nanoparticle agglomeration.

Summary: This paper investigates the exergo-economic sustainable performance of heat exchanger devices assisted with water-based different tripartite hybrid nanofluids under various geometrical turbulator inserts modifications. Results revealed that turbulator inserts with THNF result in a significant improvement in the thermohydraulic performance of the device, while only nanofluid would not be useful for energy enhancement. The device inserts with DTTI in plain tubes using THNF 6 result in the highest overall heat transfer coefficient, exergy efficiency, performance index, and higher sustainability index.
