Composites of TiC and 7075 aluminum alloy were prepared by friction stir processing and heat treatment to improve material properties and tested for creep performance. The composites exhibited low creep rate and high creep life after the coupling treatment. The TiC particles showed good interfacial bonding coherence in the matrix, and the creep mechanism changed from viscous sliding of dislocations to grain boundary sliding creep control mechanism.
