A sensitive photoelectrochemical method for detecting Cd2+ ions was successfully developed using Pd/ZnS/ZnO nano-particle modified electrodes. The ZnS/ZnO bilayer material was prepared via hydrothermal method on a nickel foam substrate and the three-layer nanomaterial photoelectric sensor was prepared using pulse plating method. Electrochemical and photoelectrochemical tests demonstrated that the composite electrode exhibited excellent electronic conductivity, enhanced photosensitivity, and a detection response range of 0.1 μM-100 μM for Cd2+, with superior sensitivity, selectivity, and lower detection limit compared to conventional Cd2+ sensors.
A sensitive photo electrochemical method for the detection of Cd2+ ions was realized using Pd/ZnS/ZnO nano -particle modified electrodes. The ZnS/ZnO bilayer material was prepared by hydrothermal method using nickel foam as the substrate then the three-layer nanomaterial photoelectric sensor was prepared using pulse plating method. Then, a series of electrochemical and photoelectrochemical tests were conducted to measure the electrochemical and photoelectrochemical properties. The test results show that the composite electrode has good electronic conductivity, improved photosensitivity, and a detection response range of 0.1 mu M-100 mu M for Cd-2+ with good sensitivity and selectivity and lower detection limit compared with the conventional Cd-2+ sensor.
