Observation of the Formation of Multiple Shock Waves at the Collapse of Cavitation Bubbles for Improvement of Energy Convergence

Marc Tinguely et al.

Summary: In this study, the formation of multiple shock waves generated by the collapse of a laser-induced bubble was investigated using high-speed imaging technology. The results showed that there is a certain sequence in the generation process of these shock waves.

Early Dynamics of a Laser-Induced Underwater Shock Wave

Guihua Lai et al.

Summary: This paper uses numerical methods and experimental data to analyze the evolution of shock waves induced by nanosecond pulsed lasers in still water. The study found that the shock waves exhibit high attenuation characteristics after optical breakdown, and the width of the shock waves is independent of the energy and duration of the laser.

A New Turbulent Viscosity Correction Model With URANS Solver for Unsteady Turbulent Cavitation Flow Computations

Shijie Zhang et al.

Summary: This study investigated the effect of the water-vapor interface on the cavitation flow field and proposed a turbulent viscosity correction model. The results showed that the model could accurately predict the pressure distribution on a hydrofoil and the re-entrance jet in leading-edge cavitation shedding. This research is of great significance for numerical simulation of cavitation flow in engineering applications.
