Molecularly imprinte d polypyrrole base d sensor for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 spike glycoprotein

Summary: This study describes the use of a polypyrrole-based sensor for detecting SARS-CoV-2-S spike glycoprotein. The sensor with molecularly imprinted polymer technology shows higher sensitivity and selectivity towards the spike glycoprotein compared to a sensor without imprints. It demonstrates the potential application of molecularly imprinted MIP-Ppy-based sensors for detecting SARS-CoV-2 virus proteins.

Development of molecularly imprinted polymer based phase boundaries for sensors design (review)

Summary: Achievements in polymer chemistry have enabled the design of artificial phase boundaries through the modification of selected molecules and larger structures. These structures have proven to be useful for the development of new materials suitable for affinity chromatography and sensors. This review provides an overview of the synthesis of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) and their applicability in the design of affinity sensors. The use of conducting polymers, such as polypyrrole, polyaniline, and polythiophene, shows promising capabilities for molecular imprinting. The review also discusses methods for the synthesis of conducting polymer-based MIPs and the challenges and trends in MIP technology.
