A supramolecular hybrid sensor based on cucurbit[8]uril, 2D-molibdenum disulphide and diamond nanoparticles towards methyl viologen analysis

Elias Blanco et al.

Summary: An electrochemical sensor using MoS2 and CB[8]-stabilized nanoparticles was developed for selective detection of methyl viologen. The sensor showed linear relations between peak intensity and MV2+ concentration with a low detection limit after optimization. River water samples spiked with MV2+ showed high recoveries and low relative standard deviations.

A photoelectrochemical immunosensor based on ReS2 nanosheets for determination of collagen III related to abdominal aortic aneurysm

Yajiao Huang et al.

Summary: A 3-butyl-1-dodecyl-imidazolium bromide ionic liquid was synthesized to aid in the exfoliation of ReS2 bulk crystal to produce nanosheets, which were then used to construct a photoelectrochemical immunosensor for detecting collagen III. The use of the ionic liquid improved the photocurrent response of the nanosheets and accelerated the separation of electron-hole pairs, enhancing the sensor's characteristics. This ReS2-based immunosensor showed promising results in clinical serum samples.

A Review on Rhenium Disulfide: Synthesis Approaches, Optical Properties, and Applications in Pulsed Lasers

Mahmoud Muhanad Fadhel et al.

Summary: Rhenium Disulfide (ReS2) is a promising material for optoelectronics and photonics due to its anisotropic optical properties. Its saturable absorption property has been utilized to fabricate saturable absorber (SA) devices for generating high-performance laser pulses. SAs based on ReS2 can produce short pulses in various wavelength regions, showing great potential for applications.
