Summary: This study aimed to understand the lived experiences and unique psychosocial impacts following bariatric surgery. Qualitative interviews were conducted, and thematic analysis revealed five key themes: key motivators, positive changes, challenges, social relationships, and skills for moving forward. The findings highlight the multifaceted nature of post-operative experiences and psychosocial challenges, emphasizing the need for tailored support in pre- and post-operative healthcare settings.
