Physical activity levels among ovarian cancer survivors: a prospective longitudinal cohort study

Tamara Jones et al.

Summary: Physical activity following ovarian cancer diagnosis is generally below recommended levels, with some patients experiencing a decrease in activity levels. Patients with advanced stage disease, lower income, undergoing chemotherapy, currently smoking, or working are more likely to report lower physical activity levels and have increased odds of being insufficiently active or sedentary.

Reliability of graded cycling test with talk test and 30-s chair-stand test in men with prostate cancer on androgen deprivation therapy

Maria Rothgart Aabo et al.

Summary: The study examined the reliability of the graded cycling test with talk test (GCT-TT) and the 30-second chair-stand test (30s-CST) in men with prostate cancer on androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). Results showed high relative reliability for 30s-CST and slightly lower for GCT-TT. Improvement of 1.9 repetitions on a group level and three repetitions for individual patients in 30s-CST, and improvement exceeding 19.9 W in GCT-TT are considered as real improvements.

Physical Fitness and Health-related Quality of Life in Patients with Colorectal Cancer

Luisa Soares-Miranda et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates that there is a close association between physical fitness and health-related quality of life in colorectal cancer patients. Better aerobic fitness and lower-extremity muscle strength are correlated with higher levels of global health status, functioning, and lower levels of symptoms like pain and fatigue in this patient population.

Six-Minute Walk Distance in Breast Cancer Survivors-A Systematic Review with Meta-Analysis

Jasna But-Hadzic et al.

Summary: The results from the six-minute walk test (6MWT) revealed that healthy subjects covered a significantly greater distance than breast cancer survivors (BCS), and the 6MWD distance was predicted by participants' BMI but not by their age.
