Stable Metal-Organic Frameworks for Fluorescent Detection of Tetracycline Antibiotics

Summary: In this work, two stable fluorescent metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), BUT-178 and BUT-179, are synthesized and used to detect tetracycline antibiotics. BUT-179 exhibits better performance in detecting different tetracycline antibiotics in water and eggs, with detection limits reaching the nanomolar level. Furthermore, BUT-179 can be easily recovered and repeatedly used without an obvious performance loss, as confirmed by cycling tests.

Nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dots as a highly selective fluorescent and electrochemical sensor for tetracycline

Response surface methodology optimization for the synthesis of N, S-codoped carbon dots and its application for tetracyclines detection

The synthesis parameters were optimized using response surface methodology, and the as-synthesized NSCDs exhibited superior photoluminescence stability and high quantum yield. Two-in-one sulfur and nitrogen co-doped fluorescent silicon nanoparticles: Simultaneous as the fluorescent probe and photocatalyst for in-situ real time visual monitoring and degradation of tetracycline antibiotics

Summary: In this study, two-in-one silicon nanoparticles were designed and prepared as a fluorescent probe and degradation catalyst for the detection and removal of tetracycline antibiotics. These nanoparticles can selectively quench the blue fluorescence upon interaction with tetracycline, while emitting yellow-green fluorescence. They can be used as fluorescent probes for the detection of doxycycline, oxytetracycline, and tetracycline with low limits of detection. Additionally, the nanoparticles were capable of catalyzing the degradation of the antibiotics under UV light. This study provides a new strategy for the rapid and simple detection and removal of drug pollutants.
