Fire hazard associated with different types of photovoltaic power plants: Effect of vegetation management

Magdalena Daria Vaverkova et al.

Summary: Synanthropic vegetation at photovoltaic power plants can increase fire hazards and have adverse effects on the panels. However, previous scientific studies have neglected to address this issue. This study found that different types of photovoltaic panels are associated with different vegetation types. Appropriate vegetation management methods, such as grazing or mowing, combined with rotating panels, can effectively reduce fire hazards.
