Fabrication of In2O3/In2S3 heterostructures for enhanced photoelectrochemical performance

Hang Xu et al.

Summary: Constructing core/shell heterojunction, such as In2O3/In2S3, has been a successful strategy for improving the photoelectrochemical performance in water splitting. In this study, a series of In2O3/In2S3 core/shell photoanodes were synthesized via a two-step hydrothermal method, showing enhanced visible light absorption, faster charge transfer rate, and higher electron carrier density, leading to excellent PEC performance in 1 M NaOH solution at 1.23 V vs RHE.
