Construction of Two-Dimensional Fluorescent Covalent Organic Framework Nanosheets for the Detection and Removal of Nitrophenols

Jia-Qing Chen et al.

Summary: In this study, a two-dimensional fluorescent covalent-organic framework (TFPB-TTA COF) nanosheet was synthesized for the fluorescence sensing and efficient adsorption of nitrophenols. The TFPB-TTA COF captures nitrophenols through hydrogen bonding and conjugation interaction, and the fluorescence emission of the TFPB-TTA COF is affected by photoinduced electron transfer and FRET with nitrophenols, enabling sensitive fluorescence sensing. The TFPB-TTA COF also demonstrates high adsorption capacity for nitrophenols, especially for 2,4,6-trinitrophenol, with good recyclability and structural stability.
