Efficacy and safety of non-thermal nitrogen plasma versus long-pulsed Nd:YAG laser for hand rejuvenation

Katayoon Hadian et al.

Summary: This study found that cold plasma therapy is as effective as long-pulsed Nd:YAG laser in improving wrinkles and dyschromia, with the added benefit of reducing transepidermal water loss and enhancing skin hydration.

Scapular Dynamic Muscular Stiffness Assessed through Myotonometry: A Narrative Review

Ana S. C. Melo et al.

Summary: This review summarizes the psychometric properties and methodological considerations of myotonometry as a tool for assessing scapular muscles. Myotonometry has been shown to be reliable in assessing stiffness in various muscles and correlates with other clinical assessment measures and symptoms.

Comparison of different MyotonPRO probes for skin stiffness evaluation in young women

Katarzyna Rosicka et al.

Summary: In a pioneering study, skin stiffness was measured using MyotonPRO in 30 healthy young women at various locations. Results showed no significant difference in stiffness values between L-shaped probes, but significant differences with regular and disc attachment probes. MyotonPRO proved to be a reliable device for skin stiffness assessment.

Intra- and inter-evaluator reliability of the MyotonPRO for the assessment of the viscoelastic properties of caesarean section scar and unscarred skin

Isabelle Gilbert et al.

Summary: The MyotonPRO is a reliable tool for the objective measurement of the viscoelastic properties of C-section scars and unscarred skin. It shows good to excellent intra- and inter-rater reliability. While there is no significant difference in elasticity between C-section scars and unscarred skin, significant differences were observed in terms of tone, stiffness, creep, and mechanical stress relaxation time.
