A Multi-functional NO2 gas monitor and Self-Alarm based on Laser-Induced graphene

A laser-induced graphene-based multi-functional NO2 monitor and self-alarm system was designed to achieve high sensitivity and reliable early warning, integrating MoS2 and LIG materials for improved performance at room temperature. The system also demonstrates timely acoustic warning response to excessive NO2 concentrations.

Ultrahigh oxygen evolution reaction activity in Au doped co-based nanosheets

Summary: The oxygen evolution reaction (OER) has been a focus of research in water electrolysis. In this study, the authors used single-atom Au doped Co-based nanosheets to evaluate the OER activity and the interaction between Co and Au. The results showed that Au-Co(OH)(2) nanosheets exhibited superior performance compared to state-of-the-art Co-based catalysts. The authors also provided new insights into the mechanisms of OER activity and the synthesis of efficient OER electrocatalysts.

Recent development in electronic structure tuning of graphitic carbon nitride for highly efficient photocatalysis

To address these issues, electronic structure tuning of g-C3N4 has been widely adopted, with strategies including vacancy modification, doping, crystallinity modulation, and synthesis of new molecular structures. Challenges and future trends in this area are also discussed.

The integration of 2D materials with metal oxides shows promise for environmental protection.

Enhanced NO2 sensitivity of SnO2 SAW gas sensors by facet engineering

Summary: The researchers developed a novel strategy to prepare SnO2 quantum wires with different (110) facets ratio, and integrated them into SAW devices to optimize gas sensor performance. The response of the SAW gas sensor was enhanced with a frequency change of 17 kHz, and the response and recovery times were 45 s and 96 s, respectively. The mass loading effect was found to be the responsible mechanism for the superior NO2 gas sensing performances, and the (110) facet of SnO2 was found to be more beneficial for NO2 adsorption.

Electrochemical fabrication of ultrafine g-C3N4 quantum dots as a catalyst for the hydrogen evolution reaction

Summary: Graphite-like carbon nitride (g-C3N4) is a promising metal-free material with high in-plane elemental nitrogen concentration and superior stability. This study presents a rapid method for synthesizing ultrafine g-C3N4 quantum dots (QDs) using electrochemical exfoliation with Al3+ ions as an intercalation agent. The obtained QDs exhibit small size and thickness, and show excellent hydrogen evolution reaction performance in an acidic electrolyte.

Construction of In2O3/ZnO yolk-shell nanofibers for room-temperature NO2 detection under UV illumination

These results were attributed to the improved photo-generated charge separation efficiency and increased reactive sites and gas adsorption provided by the heterojunction effect of In2O3/ZnO yolk-shell nanofibers.

This study provides a new strategy for the formation of heterostructures between metal oxides and g-C3N4 for excellent gas sensitivity and addresses the fabrication of highly potent gas sensors.
