High-sensitive NO2 sensor based on p-NiCo2O4/n-WO3 heterojunctions

Summary: A NO2 gas sensor based on NiCo2O4/-WO3 nanocomposite was synthesized with outstanding sensing performance. The sensor showed higher response, shorter response/recovery time, good linearity, stable repeatability and brilliant selectivity at 150 degrees C. The enhanced gas sensitivity of the sensor may be due to the unique microstructure of NiCo2O4/-WO3 and the p-n heterojunction formed between the two materials.

NO2 sensor based on Al modified ZnO nanowires

Summary: ZnO nanowires grown hydrothermally were successfully modified by an ultrathin layer of Al, resulting in an improved and highly selective NO2 sensor. The sensor film showed a linear dependence in the concentration range, with swift response kinetics and a decrease in resistance due to Al modification. The observed decrease in sensor resistance agreed well with the findings of work function studies, showing a decrease in work function with Al modification.

A self-powered sensor system was developed by integrating TENGs and a gas sensor, offering a sustainable detection platform for tracking the source of harmful gases.
