A complementary chemical probe approach towards customized studies of G-quadruplex DNA structures in live cells

Summary: The study developed a synthetic platform to generate chemical probes related to G4 DNA stabilizing compound Phen-DC3. By introducing an amine group at a suitable position and conjugating with a fluorescent dye and a cell-penetrating peptide, fluorescent derivatives and cell-penetrating peptide derivatives with localization and functional effects were successfully prepared. This method provides powerful tools for G4 biology research.
