Arsenic (III) detection with underpotential deposition on gold

Summary: We have developed a new and sensitive stripping voltammetric method for the detection of As(III) in aqueous solution using gold macroelectrode or gold nanoparticle-modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE). The method is based on underpotential deposition (UPD) of As ad-atoms and provides linear responses within the range of 0.01 μM to 0.1 μM or 0.005 μM to 0.1 μM for gold macroelectrodes and gold nanoparticle-modified electrodes, respectively. The method shows practical value with clear and discernable signals even at low concentrations of As(III), meeting the WHO limit for drinking water.

A phage virus-based electrochemical biosensor for highly sensitive detection of ovomucoid

Summary: This study aimed to create highly sensitive and selective phage-based electrochemical biosensors for detecting ovomucoid, a known food allergen. By performing phage display using two different libraries, two phage clones displaying affinity peptides for ovomucoid were selected. The developed phage sensor, covalently attached to a gold electrode, exhibited significantly better binding affinity and limit of detection compared to the linear phage sensor, showing good reproducibility and recovery even in actual samples.

Innovation in potentiometry: 3D-printed polylactic acid-based ion-selective bulk electrode membranes

A microfluidic biosensor for rapid and automatic detection of Salmonella using metal-organic framework and Raspberry Pi
