All-in-One Process for Color Tuning and Patterning of Perovskite Quantum Dot Light-Emitting Diodes

Junho Kim et al.

Summary: In this study, a novel all-in-one process for exchanging ligands and halide anions in film-state is proposed to achieve facile color tuning and patterning of PeQD LEDs. The performance of PeQD LEDs is significantly enhanced by passivating the PeQD with shorter ligands. The all-in-one process is more stable in the film state and facilitates rapid color change in localized areas, enabling the fabrication of fine patterns using simple contact masks.

Ultra-bright, efficient and stable perovskite light-emitting diodes

Joo Sung Kim et al.

Summary: This study reports the development of ultra-bright, efficient, and stable light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) made of core/shell perovskite nanocrystals. The nanocrystals, obtained through in situ reaction of benzylphosphonic acid with polycrystalline perovskite films, demonstrate strong carrier confinement and maintain good charge-transport properties.

Synthesis-on-substrate of quantum dot solids

Yuanzhi Jiang et al.

Summary: This study reports a new method to directly synthesize suitably coupled, monodispersed, ultrasmall perovskite quantum dot films on a substrate. By developing ligand structures with specific head and tail groups, control over the quantum dots' size, monodispersity, and coupling is achieved. The resulting blue PeLEDs exhibit high external quantum efficiency.

Perovskite Nanocrystals with Tunable Fluorescent Intensity during Anion Exchange for Dynamic Optical Encryption

Yang Liu et al.

Summary: The capping ligands in perovskite nanocrystals play a crucial role in tuning the luminescence intensity. By ion exchange, the luminescence color of PNCs can be shifted from green to yellow, proposing a dynamic optical encryption strategy. The encoded message is hidden in the green pattern, shown during ion exchange, and erased when the pattern turns completely from green to red.

Perovskite Anion Exchange: A Microdynamics Model and a Polar Adsorption Strategy for Precise Control of Luminescence Color

Yihui Zhou et al.

Summary: Inorganic perovskite quantum dots have natural advantages in LEDs due to high color purity and tunability. A microdynamics model was constructed for anion exchange dominated by vacancies, revealing the role of polar solvent in reducing the surface energy barrier of anions. A method for in situ anion exchange channels using polar solvent was proposed, leading to precise control and regulation of the red-light spectrum.
