Summary: The stress caused by soil water deficit inhibits plant growth and understanding the behavior of weed species under water stress conditions is crucial for effective control strategies. Two experiments were conducted to evaluate the effects of water deficit on physiological and growth indicators of two weed species. Results showed that Bidens plants can tolerate low water availability conditions, but high water stress can lead to plant death, particularly with B. subalternans showing higher sensitivity.
