Predicting Homelessness Among US Army Soldiers No Longer on Active Duty

Katherine A. Koh et al.

Summary: The study aimed to develop a prediction model to accurately identify U.S. Army soldiers at high risk of homelessness after transitioning to civilian life based on available information before the transition. The results showed that the prediction model had a high accuracy, and self-reported depression, trauma of having a loved one murdered, and post-traumatic stress disorder were the strongest predictors of homelessness.
