Summary: Based on the microscopic anatomical observations, this study describes and compares the ontogenesis and morphoanatomy of petiole glands (EFNs) in two different species of Chamaecrista. The results indicate that these EFNs in both species share similar anatomical features and chemical composition but differ in external morphology, which aids in taxonomy.
