3D printed calcium phosphate scaffolds with controlled release of osteogenic drugs for bone regeneration

Huan Sun et al.

Summary: This research successfully repaired critical size defects on the skull using 3D printing technology and biomaterials, promoting new bone formation by controlled release of osteogenic drugs through implanted scaffolds. The scaffolds displayed good physical and chemical properties, with improved mechanical strength, and exhibited good biocompatibility in in vitro and in vivo tests.

Independent effects of structural optimization and resveratrol functionalization on extracellular matrix scaffolds for bone regeneration

Bowen Li et al.

Summary: The osteogenesis of SIS scaffolds was enhanced through structural optimization and resveratrol functionalization. SIS scaffolds with a fabrication concentration of 1% showed superior osteogenic properties. Covalent immobilization of RSV onto SIS scaffolds improved their osteogenic properties. In vivo experiments demonstrated enhanced vascular and new bone tissue formation with RSV/SIS scaffolds.

Gelatin methacrylate hydrogel scaffold carrying resveratrol-loaded solid lipid nanoparticles for enhancement of osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs and effective bone regeneration

Bangguo Wei et al.

Summary: This study developed an innovative bone engineering scaffold based on GelMA hydrogel loaded with Res-SLNs, which demonstrated improved osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs, particularly with the optimal 0.02 Res-SLNs/GelMA scaffold. The slow and steady release of Res from the scaffold showed potential for application in bone tissue engineering.

Preparation and In-vitro Evaluation of Pantoprazole Sodium Magnetic Microspheres by Emulsion Solvent Evaporation Method

S. Latha et al.

Summary: Magnetic microspheres incorporated with pantoprazole sodium were formulated using ethyl cellulose and Eudragit RS-100 as carriers. The physicochemical properties of the microspheres, such as density and magnetic susceptibility, varied among different formulations. Eudragit RS-100 microspheres showed better controlled release of pantoprazole compared to ethyl cellulose formulations.
