Unified neural output-constrained control for space manipulator using tan-type barrier Lyapunov function

Hadi Jahanshahi et al.

Summary: A unified neural control scheme is developed for output-constrained trajectory tracking of space manipulator under unknown parameters and external perturbations. The proposed controller integrates backstepping control, neural network, and tan-type barrier Lyapunov function. The neural network is utilized for identifying the unknown part in the dynamic model, making the controller model-free and robust to external disturbances. The tan-type barrier Lyapunov function ensures that position tracking errors do not exceed predefined constraints. The closed-loop system achieves semiglobal uniform ultimate boundedness, and all error variables eventually stabilize around zero. Simulations and comparisons verify the effectiveness and tracking performance of the proposed control scheme.

Fixed-time anti-saturation compensators based impedance control with finite-time convergence for a free-flying flexible-joint space robot

Liaoxue Liu et al.

Summary: A non-singular composite impedance controller is developed to address the compliant control problem of a free-flying flexible-joint space robot. Fixed-time anti-saturation compensators and dynamic surface control method are used to handle input saturation and differential explosion issues. Theoretical analysis shows that the system can achieve stability in finite time and the desired impedance model can be realized.

Trajectory planning and base attitude restoration of dual-arm free-floating space robot by enhanced bidirectional approach

Zongwu Xie et al.

Summary: In this paper, an enhanced bidirectional approach is proposed to plan the trajectory of free-floating space robots and eliminate the variation in base attitude. The method utilizes a novel state equation and a new Lyapunov function based on intermediate variables to achieve smooth joint trajectory and restorable base trajectories. Simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed method in minimizing final base attitude change and ensuring trajectory smoothness. The feasibility of the method in space tasks is also demonstrated by the small internal force during coordinated operation and considerable computing efficiency.

Study on the Cavitation Suppression Mechanism of Axial Piston Pump

Song Yan et al.

Summary: A mathematical model for suppressing cavitation in the plunger chamber of axial piston pumps is established, and two methods for suppressing cavitation under a constant theoretical flow rate are proposed. Experimental results show that these methods can effectively improve the actual flow rate and reduce flow pulsation, providing important reference for the design and optimization of plunger pumps.

Strategy of smooth motion planning of multi-axes space manipulator avoiding dynamic singularity in Cartesian space

Abhishek Shrivastava et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a smooth motion planning strategy for multi-axes space manipulators to avoid dynamic singularity in Cartesian space. By combining direct kinematic equations with inhibited particle swarm optimization, the issue of orientation singularity of space robots is addressed. Improved particle swarm optimization is used to enhance convergence rate and global search ability. A jerk minimized motion planning scheme is executed to ensure the stability of the robot base. Various influencing variables are optimized so that the end-effector smoothly achieves the desired pose by stabilizing the base attitude.
