BLISTER promotes seed maturation and fatty acid biosynthesis by interacting with WRINKLED1 to regulate chromatin dynamics in Arabidopsis

Ruihua Huang et al.

Summary: LISTER regulates seed maturation and fatty acid biosynthesis gene expression by linking WRINKLED1 to chromatin remodeling factors and regulating nucleosomal occupancy and histone modifications. The interaction between WRINKLED1 and its interacting partner BLISTER (BLI) promotes the expression of fatty acid biosynthesis genes and regulates seed maturation. BLI interacts with either the chromatin remodeling factor SWITCH/SUCROSE NONFERMENTING 3B (SWI3B) or the Polycomb-group protein CURLY LEAF (CLF) to modify nucleosomal occupancy and histone modifications, facilitating gene expression.

Adenosine monophosphate deaminase modulates BIN2 activity through hydrogen peroxide-induced oligomerization

Qing Lu et al.

Summary: In this study, researchers found that a mutation in the AMPD gene reduces the sensitivity of Arabidopsis seedlings to brassinosteroids by modulating BIN2 oligomerization and activity in a hydrogen peroxide-dependent manner. They also discovered an H2O2 homeostasis-mediated regulation loop between AMPD and BIN2, which fine-tunes the BIN2 kinase activity to control plant growth and development.

Nucleocytoplasmic trafficking and turnover mechanisms of BRASSINAZOLE RESISTANT1 in Arabidopsis thaliana

Ruiju Wang et al.

Summary: BZR1, a key transcription factor in the brassinosteroid signaling pathway, is tightly regulated by phosphorylation and subcellular localization; it can be rapidly recruited from the cytoplasm to the nucleus by BR treatment, and its protein abundance is regulated by two distinct turnover mechanisms.
