Self-consistent calculations of potential surfaces, quadrupole moments, and charge radii are performed for mercury isotopes Hg178-208 using the Fayans energy-density functional method. The study reveals the presence of weakly oblate and strongly prolate isomeric states. The charge radii of all isotopes, except Hg-181, Hg-183, and Hg-185, are predicted with a typical precision of 0.01 fm.
Self-consistent calculations of potential surfaces, quadrupole moments, and charge radii of the mercury isotopes Hg178-208 are calculated within the approach based on the Fayans energy-density functional. The existence of weakly oblate and strongly prolate isomeric states is shown. The charge radii are predicted to a typical precision of 0.01 fm for all isotopes, with the exception of three particular cases of Hg-181,Hg-183,Hg-185.
