Modified Brans-Dicke cosmology with minimum length uncertainty

Andronikos Paliathanasis et al.

Summary: We propose a modification to the Brans-Dicke gravitational Action Integral based on the presence of a minimum length uncertainty for the scalar field. By modifying the kinetic part of the Brans-Dicke scalar field, the equation of motion is changed according to the quadratic Generalized Uncertainty Principle (GUP). We investigate the dynamics and cosmological evolution of the theory's dynamical variables and compare the results with the unmodified Brans-Dicke theory. This study explores the effects of GUP in a Machian gravitational theory.

Entropic corrections to Friedmann equations and bouncing universe due to the zero-point length

Kimet Jusufi et al.

Summary: This article employs Verlinde's entropic force scenario and takes into account the zero-point length correction to the gravitational potential to extract the modified Friedmann equations. By considering the modified gravitational potential, logarithmic corrections to the entropy expression are found, leading to the derivation of the modified Friedman equations. Interestingly, the corrected Friedmann equations bear resemblance to the Friedmann equations in the braneworld scenario. Furthermore, a potential connection to the GUP principle is discussed, which could have implications on the Hubble tension. The evolution of the scale factor under the effect of zero-point length is also explored. Finally, considering the minimal length to be of the Planck order, the critical density and bouncing behavior of the universe with a critical density and minimal scale factor on the order of the Planck length are obtained.

Avoidance of Singularity during the Gravitational Collapse with String T-Duality Effects

Kimet Jusufi

Summary: In this paper, we study the gravitational collapse of matter under the influence of zero-point length. We derive the internal metric of a collapsing star as a closed FRW universe and find a minimal value for the scale factor, indicating that the singularity is avoided. We propose that the object formed after the collapse can be interpreted as Planck stars hidden inside the black hole event horizon.

Charged black holes from T-duality

Patricio Gaete et al.

Summary: In this paper, a family of regular black hole solutions in the presence of charge and angular momentum is presented. The thermodynamics of these solutions is discussed, as well as the life cycle of black holes during the balding and spin down phases. The use of Padmanabhan's propagator to calculate static potentials encodes string T-duality effects, suggesting that these regular solutions could provide insights into string theory phenomenology.

Quantum gravity and the zero point length

Piero Nicolini

Summary: This paper provides an overview of the current issues in quantum gravity research. It introduces the concept of duality in path integrals, which is consistent with T-duality in string theory. The duality reveals a universal feature of quantum geometry, namely the existence of a zero point length L-0. Recent developments exploring the effects of L-0 in strong electrodynamics and black holes are also discussed.

Summary: This paper discusses the evolution of the Hubble constant and presents conclusions based on the analysis of supernovae and acoustic oscillation data. The study finds a decreasing trend with eta in the sample, which may be related to astrophysical biases or modified gravity theories. This research is important for understanding the evolution of the Hubble constant.

Hubble tension bounds the GUP and EUP parameters

S. Aghababaei et al.

Summary: In recent years, research has supported the proposal that uncertainty principles can solve the Hubble tension, leading to a study of an isotropic and homogeneous FRW universe and the modifications of the Hubble parameter by GUP and EUP models. It is suggested that the characteristics of quantum gravity also affect the CMB.

Summary: The investigation reveals that the unique attractor of the Szekeres system with cosmological constant is the isotropic inhomogeneous de Sitter Universe, indicating the integrability of the system. Quantum corrections are studied by analyzing linear and quadratic conserved quantities at the quantum level, showing that there are no quantum corrections for the quadratic integrals but exist in a linear case.
