A sp2-carbon-linked covalent organic framework containing tetraphenylethene units used as yellow phosphors in white light-emitting diodes

Xianghu Li et al.

Summary: A sp(2)-carbon-linked covalent organic framework (COF) containing tetraphenylethene units was successfully synthesized. The COF exhibited a dual-pore eclipsed Kagome structure (AA-K) and high thermal stability. It was found that the COF could serve as promising metal-free phosphors in white light-emitting diodes (WLEDs), with different correlated color temperature (CCT) options achieved by varying the concentration.

Doping-induced modulation of optical properties of PFO/PMMA composite films

Vinayak S. Bhat et al.

Summary: Composite films of PFO/PMMA with various PFO concentrations were prepared and studied for their optical properties. The segregation of PFO increased with doping concentration, while the absorption spectrum intensity, band gap values, Urbach energy values, and refractive index all showed changes with doping concentration, stabilizing around 1 wt% of PFO. This study demonstrates the impact of doping concentration on the optical properties of PFO/PMMA composite.

Enhancing the Optical and Optoelectronic Properties of MEH-PPV-Based Light-Emitting Diodes by Adding SiO2/TiO2 Nanocomposites

Bandar Ali Al-Asbahi et al.

Summary: The optical and optoelectronic properties of hybrid thin films containing different amounts of SiO2/TiO2 nanocomposites (STNCs) were studied. Increasing the STNC content led to significant quenching of MEH-PPV emission intensity and more efficient charge transfer. This improved charge transfer plays a crucial role in enhancing OLED performance.

Summary: Eu-doped Sr2SnO4 samples were successfully synthesized and characterized in terms of crystal structure, functional groups, and metal-oxygen interactions. XPS analysis revealed the presence of oxygen vacancies, Sr2+, and Sn2+/Sn4+ in the samples. The PL spectrum showed five peaks of Eu3+ transitions, with transitions to F-7(0) and F-7(2) states being most intense, making the sample suitable for applications in UV-filter, UV-detector, and optical devices.
