Skew information-based coherence generating power of quantum channels

Summary: This study investigates the ability of a quantum channel to generate quantum coherence when applied to incoherent states. The measure of coherence generating power (CGP) is defined as the average coherence generated by the quantum channel acting on a uniform ensemble of incoherent states, based on the skew information-based coherence measure. Analytical formulae for CGP of any arbitrary finite dimensional unitary channels are presented, along with the mean value of CGP over the unitary groups and the typicality of normalized CGP. Furthermore, an upper bound of CGP for convex combinations of unitary channels is provided. Detailed examples are given to calculate the exact values of CGP for unitary channels related to specific quantum gates and qubit channels.

The uncertainty of quantum channels in terms of variance

Two trade-off relations are established between the uncertainty of quantum channels and the entanglement fidelity. Through typical examples, the uncertainty of quantum channels is illustrated.
